Description
A large Treebeard paper cutout I've been working on since last fall (I think I drew the original sketch back in September). The dimensions of the frame are 22 inches by 15 inches and about 8 inches deep.
I couldn't snap a very good picture because it has plexiglass across the front and was reflecting everything in my room. Hope you all enjoy it! Eventually I'm going to post some of the progress pictures on my blog, but as of right now I'm just happy to be done with this thing!
Edit (5/20): Just got on my computer after a hiatus of a couple of days. WOW! Lots of goings ons.
Thank you all for the DD! After the zillion hours of work I put into this thing it feels really good to know that people enjoy it so much. I apologize that I can't thank you all individually for the barrage of favorites too, but I don't have quite that much free time. Thank you all anyway though (if by some chance you happen to be reading this).

Yeah. Treebeard always sort of struck me as a lonely character. Looking for his ent wives and all.

yeah, that really worked!
It's really original I think and it's just so amazing how it came out ^^ I mean there is so much detail.... o.o did you work with a pair of tweezers?

WonderDookie In reply to Sioke [2010-05-30 19:51:19 +0000 UTC]
haha. No. No tweezers. I bought a pair of tweezers for one of my previous cut-outs, but they were more hassle than they were worth.

so you made it just with your bare hands? wow... then thumbs up! ^^ I really admire your cut-outs!!!

haha. Yeah. Bare hands and an exacto blade. A lot of times I would just stab the paper to move it around, cause the little tiny pin prick isn't even visible.

damn, I'm thoroughly impressed with this one, especially since you stuck with it all that time. I'd have lost patience a long time before that...
love the effect of the back light.

Thank you. haha. I came close a couple of times to just calling it good with the figure.
And that back light was done with some freezer paper and a small fluorescent bulb.

That... Is... Unbelievable,dude... OAO I will eat my own face to have that... OwO GIMMEH!
But on a serious note, MASTERFULLY done, the second I beheld the image it I imagined an entire motionpicture done in this truly amazing style. The work must most certainly have been worth the wait for such a result! Congrats!

Honestly though, I've seen one guy on here who does some 3-D modeling like that, and he makes me think it would actually be possible.
