Description ClockWork Jones is the world’s top freelance adventurer and OSS operative, built by noted Professor Ivo Cogsworth in 1896, two years after Ivo discovered the mathematic formula to the human soul ,shortly after made ClockWork Jones. A mechanical marvel as human as you and me. For years they toured the world, with ClockWork Jones as the showpiece of Ivo’s lecture circuit but non-believers and skeptics claiming Ivo nothing more than a fraud and ClockWork Jones nothing more than a hoax having no more humanity and conscience than that of a tinker toy took their toll on the professor financially. Times were tough, with the professor only finding work as a school janitor and ClockWork Jones working as a dock hand did the professors family barely get by, but all that changed when the US ARMY came to call.
The year was 1915 and the Great War was raging in Europe, the US had originally pursued a policy of non intervention, trying to avoiding the conflict while trying to broker a peace. However when a German U-boat sank the British liner Lusitania in 1915, with 128 Americans aboard that changed everything, as ClockWork Jones was contacted by the Army under the direct order of the President and became an unofficial official weapon of war. The US would not enter the war for years, but ClockWork Jones was already in the trenches fighting alongside the allied nations, in exchanged the professor got a fee for the military's ‘renting’ of ClockWork Jones and a job in a military think tank.

It was a choice they both would regret, no such money or job were ever given and the nature of war had taking its toll of ClockWork Jones. With the war over and ClockWork Jones in disrepair he was left in a scrap pile, it was only after a solider that ClockWork Jones had served with found him did he make it back home.

Returning home the former professor Ivo Cogsworth repair ClockWork Jones, they both worked supporting the Professors growing family as best they could but in the end the professor died of a broken heart. With the depression in full swing and money tight and the fact he knew he had to do something to support Ivo’s wife and children, Clockwork Jones sold himself to a traveling carnival for most of the great depression, sending his weekly paycheck to the family he left behind .

Life was simple in the carnival as everyone treated ClockWork Jones as one of them, that changed when World War 2 began. In 1939 the United States, concerned with events in Europe and Asia, passed the Neutrality Acts, leaving everyone to believe that America wanted nothing to do with the war in Europe, however scouts where sent out all over the nation to try and find ClockWork Jones as reports of his survival of the scrap yards made it to their desks in hopes that he would retake this old position as a ‘unofficial agent of America’.

Only after seeing photo’s of Professor Ivo’s inventions being used on the battle fields by the axis powers and not wanting to see the Professor’s name tarnished did he agreed with the understanding that he be getting a monthly paycheck made out to cash sent to Professor Ivo Cogsworth's wife, as well as having a perpetuity income for her as long as she lives, and a paid college tuitions for his children as reparations for the broken promise the made so many years ago. As well as ClockWork Jones to be granted full human status and recognized as a natural American citizen once the war was won.

Time will only tell if the government keeps their promises

The year is now 1941 and ClockWork Jones has spent the last 2 years spanned the globe thwarting axis plots, Crushing a vampire breeding ground in Egypt, destroying Hitler’s secret mummies solider factory and blowing up the Third Reich’s experimental weapon laboratory. Now adventure leads him to Cairo in search for the Jeweled nose of the Great Sphinx of Giza, removed by Muhammad Sa'im al-Dah, in AD 137. Legend says that once the statue is complete again and the stars align, the Sphinx will be made flesh and follow the will of its awakener. With the help of Archaeologist and Occult Professor Lorabella Lace of Cambridge University at his side ClockWork Jones must deal with dens of thieves and Doctor Vulchairous. A greedy inventor who wants nothing more than to sale his loud clanking Hench-bots to the highest bidder, but after numerous failures sure as spilling oil everywhere and thier lack of knee or elbow joints, making them less than perfect. Fueling his need to capture ClockWork Jones in hopes that by dismatling him he can figure out how to make his own robots better.

Can ClockWork Jones find the Sphinx’s Nose?

Will he put a stop to the Nazi War Machine?

Why does he wear a Vest and a Fedora?

Two of these questions will be answered in

ClockWork Jones: and the Search for the Sphinx’s Nose

This is very nice to look at and it's an interesting concept
I like how you tie in some elements of history with your story
It's sort of reminds me of that era in comic books where super heroes were fighting Nazis

I also like the characters designs and poses. Very eye catching!
Are you planning on further coloring the cover? Or is it just in black and white?

first of, thanks for the great comment

second, i wish i could color, but as i've said before my coloring skills suck, as i dont have a program to do the job right, plus i dont even know what color i make
ClockWork Jones
