Jackson Ayres was a track superstar at his small town high school and was set to be recruited by the college of his dreams when he was given the news that he had spinal cancer, after months of treatment to no avail all seemed lost. that was until his family's plight was over heard by a member of the hospital janitorial staff who was a nuclear scientist back in his home country, said he might be able to help. with that Jackson was given an untested experimental drug to boost his bodies defenses and save him, it was then that his cancer was destroyed but his powers developed. Now granted super speed he is given a second chance at life and he is using his gifts to make his city safe.
