A burn our ex-narcotics cop and a former desk jockey are assigned a grizzly murder case. Can they make it work?

Malcom Quackers is former narcotic cop whose wife and child died in a car crash, Quackers then fell into a deep depression, with his job as a Police officer being the only thing keeping him from suicide.He is an alcoholic, smokes heavily and he can't get a grip of himself since the loss of his wife and child three years earlier. His crazy behavior and his problem with authority as well as his crude humor leave him on the outs with most people. Can he make it work with his new partner?

Vanessa Milk- a good-natured personality with some thinly-veiled rage issues. While proud to be a member of the police force she often finds herself behind a desk, as she is seen as the 'mother figure' to the younger member of the force. She is most proud of her two children, whom she talks about to anyone that'll listen. She admits to having a gossiping problem, one which has cost her past relationships by needlessly stirring the pot between her friends and co-workers. She spent most of her career behind a desk and is now struggling to accept the fact her marriage is over and trying to build a new life while balancing the responsibilities left over from her old one, it is now that she finds herself assigned to a burn-out hot head of a partner in Quackers.

Ok this all started up when my girlfriend called me up at night saying she couldn't sleep and wanted to tell me a joke I found one online that read.

"What do you get when you cross a cow and a duck?"
"Milk and Quackers."

she laughed then paused and replied, "you gonna draw that aren't you." No, I replied already decided that they were both cops maybe being private detectives. Anyway, this is what happens one stupid joke wont leave me alone. its zootopia meets Law and Order SVU. He's Riggs from Lethal Weapon, she's Shirley from Community, the comedy writes itself

and I just have to point out the lil cowbell necklace, just a 'I have too.' thing.
