Description
ok so i wanted to draw my Texas-Jack character ,but in a more heroic pose and more serious than the previous pic. he's suppose to be perched on the alamo, but i ran out of room.i think he came out looking freakin sweet.
my only complaint you can't see his feet.

I love the character design. The background has got some issues, like too thick of black lines around the buildings, but all the nuts and bolts of an inspired piece of art are right here.
What is your policy on re-visiting pieces of art?

really don't have a policy if a character is just on my mind I just draw them till they get out, good call on the background, I has so many issues as I was trying to copy and paste a pervious bg cuz I was lazy and looking at the piece it shows, guess I have to retackle this one toΒ redeem myself

With your creative energy (which is clearly abundant!) it's critical to not exhaust yourself. I know because I do it all the time! If I were you, I would knock out the weaker portions of this art in order to focus on the strong character.
To do that? I would rely heavily on reference art for the city and the statue. You could even use a Google Sketch-Up 3D model. This would allow you to focus on the character. Plus, you would still have energy to make edits with a clear head.
One last impression! This reminds me of the Muscleman short from Japan . I don't think that this guy is a kaiju but I can easily see he him as one.
