Description

Wall.e and E.v.e. took off, flying around the Axiom in a space borne dance. Wall.e's heart core seemed to skip a few beats- she felt ecstatic as she and E.v.e. raced around the bow of the Axiom, and into the nebula on the other side. Wall.e flew into a barrel roll, rolling right over E.v.e., and respreading her wings on the other side of E.v.e., their wingtips brushing. E.v.e. then laughed and barrel rolled under Wall.e, up into the nebula, and then breached it, and barrel rolled over Wall.e, settling down on the axiom side of the pair. Wall.e then fired a plasma blast and flew through it, decloaking shortly afterwards with a goofy grin on her face. E.v.e. did the same thing, her own plasma blast sparking an electrical storm inside the nebula. Wall.e and E.v.e. then climbed up the side of the axiom, and, using the artificial gravity generated by the ship, let themselves fall into a dive. They dove down the side together, roaring in joy as they wove around each other, and then pulling out of it, and flying around the back of the ship. They began playing in the Axioms thrusters, weaving through them, flying loops around them, and even flying through the superheated plasma streams ejected by the thrusters. They then danced back along the other side of the Axiom, E.v.e. demonstrating a variant of cloaking that didn't require flying through a plasma blast so much as briefly igniting a fire jacket to Wall.e. Wall.e tried that version herself, squealing in joy when looked down at her hands and saw reflected stars instead. They decloaked and began another lap around the Axiom, hooting and squealing in joy.

In his quarters, Captain McCrea had been going on a wiki walk after having the computer analyze the handful of dirt that he'd picked up earlier. He'd spent the past several hours learning one thing after another, and found himself fascinated with pre-launch culture. McCrea was now learning about celebrations among ancient farming communities. The computer mentioned hoedowns, and Captain McCrea said, "Computer, Define 'Hoedown." The computer responded, "Hoedown: An Agricultural celebration involving liberal amounts of spirits, music, and dancing. Hoedowns were commonly celebrated in colonial and western agricultural communities across the United States of America." Auto slunk down behind McCrea's shoulder, and McCrea, fascninated, said, "Hey, Auto- these are called farms! Humans would plant seeds in the ground, pour water on them, and grow food, like pizza!" Auto, disinterested, said, "Good Night, Captain.", and shut off the holo-display. McCrea grumbled under his breath and started steering his chair away from the computer console as Auto retracted back up to the bridge. When Auto had fully retracted into the ceiling, McCrea resteered his chair towards the console, and whispered, "Psst! Computer, Define 'Dancing." The computer replied, "Dancing: A series of movements involving two partners, often in harmony with background music." The Spearmaster started jumping up and down, and pointed out the window excitedly. McCrea looked out just in time to see Wall.e and E.v.e. climb up in front of the window, hold hands, and then start falling, their facial expressions showing pure joy at dancing together. McCrea then looked back at the computer, and saw the Rivulet standing on the console. She'd typed in, "Define 'Lesbian", and had just hit the enter key. The computer responded, "Lesbian: a homosexual woman, flyer, or female animal. Lesbianism is common among the synth community, which is well known for being a non heteronormative community." McCrea, curious, asked the Rivulet, "Why did you bring up that definition?" The Rivulet responded by pulling up a life feed of Wall.e and E.v.e. dancing, and pointed at the feed. She then grabbed a pen and a piece of paper, and doodled on it. Rivulet then held up the paper for McCrea to see. It showed a doodle of Wall.e and E.v.e. without their armor on, and cuddling with each other. E.v.e. was labeled as "Ghost", and Wall.e as "Crossfire", and below that, Rivulet had added the names, "Lena Oxton" and "Emily." Captain McCrea nodded and then looked up at the live feed. He smiled as Wall.e and E.v.e. shared a kiss onscreen, and then resumed dancing through space.

MO had been cleaning for hours at this point, and was beginning to wonder where Wall.e's filth trail would end. He'd caused quite a few traffic snakes and dodged a number of hoverchairs at this point, and seemed to be heading up to the Lido deck. As he cleaned past the base of a window, MO briefly looked up, and to his surprise, he saw Wall.e and E.v.e. dancing- in space! They whirled around each other, and Wall.e's wings began to beat in an unusual rhythm, and jut out in a funny, swan like pose. Her tail began swishing from side to side, prominently showing off her tail wings. Even more bizarre: E.v.e. began to reciprocate, and the two of them danced around in circles, beating their wings and swishing their tails as if said wings and tails had minds of their own. MO stopped cleaning and approached the window to watch, noticing that Wall.e and E.v.e. were staring at each other as if they were in a trance. They continued whirling around each other, MO now hearing them... sing? over his radio transciever. Then, they reached out, and briefly held each other's hands, still dancing in space. MO looked down to find that his roller had retracted, and his hands were now holding each other. MO sighed wistfully as he watched Wall.e and E.v.e. continued to dance.

Mary was at the same window, gazing at the sheer number of stars outside. Then she spotted Wall.e and E.v.e. doing their courtship dance, and excitedly shouted, "HEY! THERE'S WHAT'S HER NAME!", subconsciously steering her hoverchair backwards. It collided with John's, and he said, "What The?!?" as Mary exclaimed, "Look!", deactivating his headset, and guiding him to the window. John looked up at Wall.e and E.v.e., and remarked, "Hey, I know that girl! That's uh- Wall.e!" Both John and Mary waved at Wall.e and E.v.e., Mary shouting, "HI, WALL.E!" and John shouting, "HEY! IT'S YOUR BUDDY JOHN!" MO's radio transciever picked up the shouting and sent it to Wall.e and E.v.e.'s transcievers, and Wall.e and E.v.e. briefly stopped dancing to move closer to the window and look in at the two humans. They both said, "Aaaw!" when Mary and John reached for the same hoverchair control and accidentally held hands. Both started, and then looked at each other- not on a video screen- but face to face. Mary awkwardly said, "Hi.", and John replied, "Hi." Mary then asked, "Would you like to go swimming in the pool?", and John responded, "I didn't know we had a pool!" Wall.e and E.v.e. both giggled as Mary and John steered their hoverchairs back towards the Lido deck, Wall.e remarking, [They're such a cute couple!] as MO started moving towards the Lido deck after them, resuming cleaning up the leftover filth trail. E.v.e. then nuzzled Wall.e, gestured back out at space, and purred,

They swooped back around the Axiom to the nebula side of the spacecraft, and Wall.e said, "Look!", then riding a lightning bolt from the stern of the Axiom straight to the bow. E.v.e. followed shortly thereafter, and began serenading Wall.e with a love song. Wall.e joined in, and they looped back around the bow, resuming their courtship dance. They danced right past the bridge and the captain's quarters, simultaneously confusing and pissing off Auto, causing Captain McCrea to wave at them and say, "Hi, Wall.e! Hi, E.v.e.! Let me know if you've found the plant!", and causing the Spearmaster and the Rivulet to start squeeing (goofily honking in the Spearmasters case), jumping up and down, and waving their arms. They then climbed up the axiom once more, affectionately nuzzled each other, and then briefly embraced each other and shared a kiss. They then held hands, and using the Axiom's artificial gravity, they fell through space, their wings and tails trailing above them as they fell.
