Description
This is a character of mine, sort of, that shows up briefly on the comic Campus Safari ([link] ). The hyper savant technician/mechanic Misha.I normally paint everything by hand but the dirt and engine exhausts in this picture were actually "cheated" a bit with layers in photoshop since I didn't want to spend overzealously with time on it.
She holds a pipewrench and (just in case you've never seen one before) they come in such hefty sizes.
The background is inspired by the first few seconds of the Futurama intro sequence. Quite simple, yet effective and elegant.
Few people have complained about the anatomy and I must say that I kind of made the mistake of disjointing her right (your left) leg.

My father was a mechanic for most of my life, I worked with him for 7 years, which taught me how much I did NOT want to be a mechanic.
It also taught me that getting a little dirty to get the job done is an okay thing, cause it'll wash off.
Great pic. The leg looks okay to me, but I'm a geek not an artist. The oil/grease/dirt on her clothes looks pretty much like I remember, except there isn't enough on her.

You have to really love machines and oil to be a mechanic, Id hate to have all that oil and filt on me O_O hmmm, that leg doesnt look disjointed to me, looks great! Very dynamicalistic
