I thought of this after Goblet of Fire.Harry usually ignores the simplest solutions.

I've found people in Harry's universe seem to assume things. Dumbledore assumes based on fragmented memories and without actually casting spells to back up his premise. Hay assumes the DEs are intelligent enough to actually think of putting up wards to prevent him from escaping mid-Dementor attack. Harry never tried to Accio the egg, therefore he doesn't know that it can't be done. It may have been charmed against that, it may not have, but neither we nor Harry know.
BTW, don't worry, Harry. They're just mad they didn't think of it.

Easy outs Harry never took -
Book 1.
1. If he has to live with the Dursleys, hire a body guard to live with him.
2. 3 headed dog meet a shrinking charm = 3 headed chihauhua.
3. Devils snare + shrinking charm = shoe lace sized plant
4. Or even levitate them up above your heads so you can walk under them.
5. Chess set = set to autoplay.
6. troll - ignore.
7. potions - smell the stupid things. Wine. DUH.
8. Quirrel - hit with one of Nevilles potions. Voldemort - aaaaah!!!!
9. Philosophers stone - use a decoy. DUH.
Book 2.
Dobby - Demand to speak to his master immediately. You then figure out who's behind the plot without the pain.
Dursleys - call child services about window bars.
Ginny - Sorry Ginnny, I'm gay.
Chamber of Secrets - flush all the toilets at once. If that fails, get an older student to do a sex change spell on a chicken = insta rooster. No need for intense battle.
While waiting for mandrake draft draw mustaches on petrified people.
Lockhart - Threaten to sue for sexual harassment.
Lucius - stick droobles best blowing gum in his hair via levitation spell.
diary and ginny - take to dumbledore. say both are obsessed with you and need counciling.
Book 3
Aunt Marge - You can't go to the weasleys. Who says you can't check into a fricken hotel?
Ripper - soccer cleats. PUNT! YIPE! Mwahaha.
Hogsmead - get aunt petunia to sign it, not vernon. stupid.
Dementors - set them on fire.
Sirius Black - Remus, how about locking the fricken hidden passages? Or, hitting him with a newspaper.
Buckbeak - teach him to poop on students instead of slicing them up like a christmas ham.

Someone pointed out that they probably put a spell to prevent the egg form being summoned, like an anti-accio charm. And I was like STFU and stopping thinking so hard. It hurts my brain. They were just pissed off that they hadn't thought of it first.
