Description Well, I don't know where this one came from. She just arrived in my head the other day at work and started beating up the inside of my skull unitll I paid her some attention. So, anyway:

Lance Corporal Claire Chapman (relative of the great Colin? We shall see).
Age: 23
Height: 5'5"
Posting: D Squadron - SAS (British)
Specialties: Mountaineering expert/Radio man. Speaks fluent French and some Arabic.

A career solider, Claire literally finished highschool on friday and was in the recruiting office on monday. She completed basic and was posted to the infantry as a radio specialist. Two years later she transfered to the Commandos. There she saw action in a number of narcotics raids as well as combat in the Middle East. Eventually she took a promotion to Lance Corporal and was invited to join the SAS. She completed the training, choosing to become a mountaineering expert over Vehicles, Aquatic and Para. She has now been posted to a unit for a month as part of a trial programme. Needless to say the others are still getting used to the idea of a girl in the ranks...

At the moment I really don't have that much on her.. The shot on the left is in Desert BDUs, as you can't really see much under all the tactical gear on the right. As it stands, the right picture is more of a loadout drawing. Still not to sure as to how I'm going to use Claire yet either. She may turn up in the B.A.D, possibly to help drag one of the Zoomies' battered and bruised body back to base (check out that onimattapeia, another word I can't spell).

Anyway. Opinions? Crits? Comments? Chocolate?

Oh, did I mention I did this in two days flat? I did this in two days flat, while working. That's gotta be some kind of record for me

SAS = SAVE ALL SOULS

old style SAS nick after the 'Princess Gate' siege (Iranian embassy siege).

my Dad (deceased cancer) did 2 tours on detachment with UK SAS - 1 went to northern Ireland for 8 months and the other well he never said and his army records are sealed until 2050 - so it will be my brothers kids that find that one out not me lol..

Gore Tex doesnt make sense for jungle boots! jungle boots are made to be light and they have drain holes for hot wet climates like jungles!!!!

Heh, thanks. That's what comes of being bored enough to just mooch around the internet for no good reason. Remember kids, it will rot your brains...
Having spent a bit of time with the stuff on (well, minus the gun. Cadets don't get to play with guns 'cause parents might get the wrong idea ) and being able to sketch from life kinda helps as well.

I've also found that life-drawing can help out a lot. it sure does show in your work.
so what program are you in that you get to do that? closest thing I've ever got to is using one of my dad's friends M16's. that was quite fun

Air Force Cadets. Say goodbye to friday nights.
Playing with M16s, yes, that does sound like fun.

Air Force sounds like fun. I wouldn't mind spending a friday night like that. Have you had any experience with the jets yet? or is that too early?

yea, that M16 was fun. It didn;t have as much kickback as I expected though. definitely a nice little gun it was

Not actually flying in them no. Though we did get run up to our last Biv by a couple of 'bous, Vietnam era transports are a bit different from jets.
On the up side it also meant I was able to get onto a USAFE base when I was in England.

I can't really draw realistically, mainly because I'm far to lazy to try.
Glad you like it.

Thanks. Yeah, eventually planning on joining the reserves. But going to wait till you can get into the Armored Cav. Gotta wait a year while they upgrader the ASLAVs

That is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL M4. In my humble opinion, the greatest gun in the world, and certainly the best Colt have ever made...apart from perhaps the Peacemaker
Then again, I hate revolvers.

I'm very impressed with this one - her breasts are almost believable.

You coming tonight?

You know Ferret, I really think you need to stop trying to prove what a Sensitive-New-Age-Guy you are by pretending that you don't automatically go "ooh titties!"

Yeah, it is a nice gun. Was sort of tossing up between that an an L85, but figured the M4 was probably more reliable.

Comming were?

Probably not.
On which note, ran into a few people from the Music Support Group staying at the hotel. Drove the car around for them, noticed the 2005 RSCM CD and sort of got talking from there.

The Inchcolm. It's just behind Central station. Didn't you know I had a new job? I am now a hotel porter. It's great, the work is thoughtless (so I can let my mind wander) and the pay ain't bad either. Hours are a bit wacky though.

Glock 17 - *BAAARHF* ugggh... Ugly gun!

Pretty kick ass, I do say, though. She is one tough cookie, because that is a LOT of equipment to drag up a mountain! She'll be ready to rock when she gets there, tho. Excellent work.

Oh good, so people can actually read the writing. Wasn't to sure about it.

Yeah, I know the Glock is ugly as all shit. But it did kinda suit, and I wanted the underwater thing (basically you can fire it with a barrel full of water without splitting it). Might change it to a SIG or something later.

Certainly a start whether it is good or bad.You can always put her aside for a while until you figure out what to do with her.I usually have some characters I am not certained with and I always put them aside until I figure out their fate. Can take a while until an idea hit you but it is better than drive yourself nuts unnecessarily.
