Having gone all SDF-1 on us, I assume the mob over at Voltron: Legendary Defender realise they're now contractually obliged to put at least one badass alien woman (Best-Space-Elf or otherwise) in a MFE fighter.
Or Strike MFE, as the case may be. I assume at least one or two people are going to get the joke.

Just finished Season 6, and was rather surprised at the ending. Now that Lotor is gone, will Haggar take over the empire? And what will become of Lotor's three henchwomen? And when the Voltron force returns to Earth, will they have to deal with the Garrison over control of the lions?
Hopefully the next season will be released soon.

I wound up reading a couple of interviews with the production crew later, and the general gist was "if we'd had the animation budget, those fighters would totally have transformed"...
In seriousness though, it's well worth the watch. Personally I think it's a great series, has it's faults mind, but still a fantastic watch. It's entertaining, well written, good characters, generally well paced, and they really know how to do a battle. Doesn't hurt that they ditched doing "monster of the week" pretty much immediately, and the soundtrack is epic as well.

You know what really ticks me off about his show though is how it reminds me of the Thundercats remake before CN cancelled it. Bastards. >_<

... I'll admit I shed a few tears for Episode 11. That was rough when the princess had to give up her father's AI.
I think that's one thing I'm pretty amazed about with this show so far. Rarely do things go according to plan. Everyone's flawed and if there is an actual show flaw it's the transformation sequence. Kinda worn thin with me already. >_>;
But other than that. Damn good show.

It was season 4, episode 2 (I think), that did me in.
As to the combining sequence. Yeah, that gets old pretty quickly, especially when it stalls the flow of one battle or another.

Well... a lot's happened since last I reported. Onto Season 3 now, Shiro has disappeared into thin air and Allura is now a leg. Hunk approves.
I think the biggest mystery atm is who that pilot was stuck in the space worm. Damn this show is addictive...

Krolia is awesome, but I think Acxa's (who, as I assume you've worked out by now, was the pilot in the weblum) still my favourite. Smart, level-headed, honourable, and ruthless... what's not to like.

... I'm REALLY hoping Acxa and Keith get together. There's many signs pointing toward it, but I get nervous with newer series that might try to slip in gay romances to appease certain... yeah. Add the fact they've done it to Shiro this S7 kind of rubs me the wrong way already...
But yeah, Acxa. Space babe. Reminds me of my love for a certain Gamilas lass who has a thing for parfaits...

Fun would be one way to describe it. TBH, in the interests of time I was relying heavily on being able to get a screen shot from a similar angle. Then I just had to modify the FAST pack into the Voltron-Earth design language.

I am only 4 episodes into season 7, so I may not be in on the joke. I am concern with Princess Allura becoming the next Mary Sue. And with just learning about the time jump, I hope its not a cut and paste of Transformers: Beast Machines plot line.
The only other thing I could guess at is Galaxy Garrison, in the three years, has built the vehicle version of Voltron to replace the loss of the lions.
But don't tease me if DreamWorks was working on a Robotech reboot.

I sometimes get the distinct impression some of the more wild uses of Altean/Allura's magic are pretty much just to get through plot points not worth expending extra time on to solve another way, or that would drag things out too much for similar reasons.
As to the joke, yeah, you'll need to get to the last few episodes to figure out where it came from. You'll know it when you see it though.

Wow, didn't see Voltron getting a Super Dimension Fortress crossover. But the whole space refugee "no boarders" for earth was a nice touch.
Not sure moving all the good guys to a part of the universe that is too "young" to product the power crystals that seem to run everything. But I have enjoyed how the lions seem to hold there own and having time when staying in Voltron form is a disadvantage.
But will Season 8 be subtitled: Darling in the Franxxx?

I'm quite glad they've taken the route that forming Voltron doesn't solve all issues. It makes for a much more exciting show, so amen to that. The power crystals thing was a useful ploy to up the stakes, and from memory the very last scenes showed the Balmera in orbit around Earth, which I'm assuming is how they're going to resolve that one moving forward.
TBH, I was expecting the next season to be subtitled "Do You Remember Love?"

Chart case seemed perfect for it, just squarish enough for the purpose. This begs the question of just what kind of charts does one use in space? I vetoed a helmet cases, most of those I’ve seen are a padded zip sachel.
