Late one February afternoon, around that time where other countries get "Dusk" and "Twilight", but where Australia just gets "Bloody Hot". RAAF Base Amberley and the B.A.D is being prepared for deployment to Northern Africa. Any one who can get away with it is in undershirts only. Even the Pilot Officer in charge of Logistics is feeling lazy, chatting with his charges while two ADGs "patrol" the area...Ok, I rather like this one. First one I've done (that I can think of) that has more than one central focus. Lots of stuff happening, but in a sort of laid back way. In the background is one of the BF-20s being loaded into a C-130H for transport, and yes, I realise they are over-scale. For the '20 to be transported this way the main weapons have to be removed, and the legs "dislocated", with the shocks removed so as to fold it down. Of the 30mins needed to break down and re-assemble the mech a good 20mins is devoted to the legs alone. And no, that isn't fuel FOR and F-18, that's what's written on the tanks, writing's red, little diamond in behind is green.
Was listening to "A.Skills and Krafty Kuts" - "Simple Things" while doing this... Suits it, really laid back breaks.

I must say I like how your drawing has picked up so much, on stuff other than planes.
That said, I wouldn't mind seeing a plane here or there *subtle hint*

Wow. Nicely done, man. Tons o' detail! I really like that Caterpillar forklift and those C-130s. I'm a big fan of the old C-130. The mech that's being loaded looks pretty interesting. I like how you've thought out the whole procedure for transporting them. I'm a sucker for little details like that. Hey, what kind of truck are they using?

lol...every time i see a scene like that, i always start imagining:
Alarm Klaxon goes off, dozens of enemy fighters swoop down laying down a 30mm HE rain of death n destruction. Exploding transports. Lots of flying debris. Que sad dramtic music.
Awesome image tho, really conveys the laid back working sense that you described.

Thanks, yeah, framing it a bit probably would have been a bright idea now that you mention it. Shall keep it in mind for next time I do a scene like this.
