Hi guys! This is a new set of 12 artworks I did for the new Star Wars Essential Reader's Companion. Although the dateline for this book was a lot tighter it nevertheless was an enjoyable and rewarding experience.As with the last book I will be posting them in the order of sequence as it appears in the Reader's Companion. Enjoy!
This next scene is from Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader. Vader and his 501st Legion battles Wookies and Jedis Siadem Forte and Iwo Kulka and just plain being a badass!

I love the composition, the pic is powerful, but to my mind you should rework Darth Vader's helmet. It looks to bright and may be it doesn't matches the original design.

I can't tell you how amazed I was by Rise of Vader.
It tells a compelling and believable story of how Vader went from the poor S.O.B he was at the end of Revenge of the Sith to the walking nightmare he was in A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back.
It also fits in well with the Force Unleashed novel

One of my favorite Star Wars novels. It actually felt like a page out of the Originals than the Prequels - which I thought were alright. Luceno's writing is just great.
