People really don't understand how hard it is to be a socialite...Daddy has SO much money that it can be sooo hard to spend it, especially since he keeps making more and more of it...not to mention people always insisting on buying things for you! And then once they do, they think that means they get to hang out with you, which can be sooo distracting.
