Lana Pembroke laughed at the question, "No I don't think the movie is sexist," this was one of those questions that kept popping up after she accepted her contract with Benchmark Pictures. The movie in question was the modern retelling of 'The Stepford Wives' a classic horror about women being turned into domestic 1950s housewives. The contract put her in the leading female role, Joanna, along with casting her in a couple holiday movies the Production Company was known for.

"The movie is just satirical," Lana smiled, waving the question off dismissively, "another classic piece of Americana that is becoming popular again," Lana's agent said the contract was a good start for her career. Given how trendy the retro-classic style was becoming, starring in a few movies and possibly a tv show would do wonders for her career. "Besides, it's nice to be in a movie for once that I actually get to keep my clothes on the whole time. If you want to talk about regressive media, how about my previous roles that it seemed all too important to be shot in cold rooms where I'm not wearing a bra?" she laughed with the reporter. She knew how to gab with the press, but what she said was pretty true. The more of the movie she shot, the more she enjoyed wearing the classic outfits. Maybe the set director would let her keep a couple as souvenirs when the shoot was over.
