The item seemed odd, a vial that claimed to contain ghostly wails? Sounded like an ingredient from a Witch's Brew in an old fairy tale or something. Still, the novelty made it worth the price and it'd make a good-

He felt a sudden jerk from his hand as the bottle seemed to lunge from his grasp. He watched in surprise as the bottle plummeted to the ground. He flinched, expecting the sound of shattering glass, but instead only heard a hollow 'pop' sound as the cork came out of the vial. He peered down, but his eyes were quickly blinded by a billowing cloud pouring from the upturned bottle. The smoky haze clung to him, he felt it almost slithering around his body. However, the engulfing sensation was drowned out by an echoing cacophony of wails and moans that seemed to come from every direction. He covered his ears, unaware of his form shrinking, becoming softer and waif-like. His skin began to grow pallid, a tinge of a sickly gray taking him. As his body warped and shrank, his hair grew longer and black, slick as if dripping with black ichor.

She gasped, feeling a sudden shift beneath her tightly wrapping shirt, her pants dissolved beneath the screaming mist. She gasped, panting as she clenched her eyes shut tight, their shape shifting and becoming more Asian in form.

Soon, where the young man had stood, a much shorter Japanese girl stood... or rather floated. She felt funny... light... but heavy, her mind awash with so many emotions and memories, many she didn't recognize. She turned, peering from behind her long, jet black hair. She... She had to...

And she was gone, leaving only an empty glass vial on the ground.
