Carol Danvers flew over the city she had been called to protect. After ‘the Reaping,’ a rather morbid name some were giving the Thanos infinity glove incident, crime and chaos had run rampant in the streets. The Captain... or rather the currently active Captain, rubbed her shoulder. It had been nearly nonstop as super villains and small time criminals had been empowered by the sudden confusion... so many people had been hurt... so many were worse off...

Captain Marvel landed on a nearby tower, the abandoned location of the original Avenger’s Tower... what once was a beacon promising protection to the city population had become just an empty shell, a perfect example of how this world that needs heroes... just lost half of them. These were dark times in... in... Carol looked out over the city, something strange was happening. The park in the middle of town seemed to be growing, grass sprouting out passed its gates. Trees... trees were pushing up through the cement and... and the roads were becoming cobbled? What was this? Another Thanos machination? Some sort of new villainous plot to-

Carol felt a little woozy, her uniform seeming to rustle as her hair felt strange. She looked down in the city again. The roads had turned to cobblestone and cars that had been driving on them had started to swerve and crash due to the uneven paving. Carol had to do something! She had to get down there and-

Carol blinked, her long eyelashes fluttering a bit as her eyes adjusted to the sunlight. The smog that had clung to the city had cleared and the sun seemed to shine brighter now over the once gray city. Everything looked so much more colorful, so bright. Carol didn’t understand what was happening, she rubbed her head in confusion, feeling it ache as it started getting harder to remember what she’d been thinking about. She brushed her hair from her eyes to try and get a better look. It seemed like... everything had gotten smaller? There weren’t as many skyscrapers as she recalled, and the whole skyline seemed... wrong for some reason. She blinked, remembering the cars crashing! She checked the roads again and-

Carol sighed in relief seeing that the horses and their riders were okay. She lightly patted her chest, “goodness, such a sudden worry just can’t be good for my health... too much stress could cause wrinkles,” she chattered absently as she peered out from her tower. She found the spot to have the best view of the little town full of little people. She leaned on the parapet and sighed, how she longed to be part of their world... the once Captain smiled, humming softly to herself, a tune that she didn’t know but somehow remembered... like she’d heard it once upon a dream. The princess blinked, realizing she had been daydreaming again, “oh that’s right!” She gasped realizing she was running late for a very important date. Her father had agreed to let her go out in the royal carriage to celebrate her 16th birthday! She was going to see a whole new world... and maybe... just maybe, today would be the day her prince would come. The very thought made the young princess’s heart flutter with excitement. The girl daintily ran down the stairs, unaware of the sudden changes applied to her world, all the dark and dreary bits had been rewritten to a more wholesome, family oriented narration. This left the new Disney Princess to occupy a brighter world that promised her a happily ever after, even if it was one she never asked for or wanted.
