Captain America was pinned down as he held up his shield to block the barrage of bullets streaking across the wooded field. The Red Skull was back to his old tricks, world domination for Evil, doomsday weapons, and as always threatening the well-being of the American Way. He threw the shield, knocking out two Nazis who were attempting to flank him. This wasn't the best position, even for the super soldier things were looking pretty dire. He still had to make his way up to the stronghold, infiltrate, locate the Redskull and... There was a rumble, a low droning tremble that made the earth quake. Was it a new super weapon? Cap looked towards the soldiers, they looked as confused as he was. Oddly enough, he didn't find that comforting...

There was another quake, as the land seemed to shift and roil beneath their feet. There were yelps and the sound of running, the enemies were retreating? Again, Cap didn't find as much comfort in their sudden surrender. In fact, he was already bracing himself for what came ne-

Princess Stephanie blinked, her eyes bleary as if a bright light had shone quickly before her bright blue eyes. Strange, she... she didn't recall wandering into the forest... She looked around, something felt like it was missing... something that had just been here before, but now... Now... she rubbed her head gently, it was ever-so strange but the quiet seemed to give her a headache. She smiled knowing the proper way for a princess to fix such inaudible issues. She took a deep breath as disembodied music began to swell around her to accompany her singing voice. She turned and headed back toward's her family's castle, leaving behind that strange knight's round shield... no matter, her father, the King, could easily provide an even nicer one... she was certain of it.
