Description
Another dragon for my epic/ dark fantasy story Serpents of Stone....but this one is not taking flight.

The inspiration came from Mcfarlane's series one fire dragon...in fact Mcfarlane dragons is where the inspiration for most of my dragons come from.

~ Fire dragons were among the deadliest species of dragon known in the Dragon Domain. They dwelt in the fiery mountain regions far to the east. While most fire dragons were equipped with wings, this species was not. What it lacked in flight is what it made up for in speed and agility. It made its home in the thick rocks while most winged fire dragons lived either in temples or high atop the mountains. And while fire dragons were not entirely evil, they were known for leaving their mountains and destroying cities.

This dragon was spotted by the main hero's company (still unnamed) and chased them through the fiery rocks during their destination to reach the Folcaarn Temple where they needed to retrieve Norvaalg's wretchedspawn2012.deviantart.c… stone, which was guarded by another dragon that had taken residence in the temple.

During the great War of Halhath, the Dragon also caught a pack of orcs accompanied by a troll attempting to settle a camp where the dragon roams. The orc's master underestimated the strength of the fire dragons, and the wingless beast ripped the orcs limb from limb. The troll put up a competitive battle, but it was not strong enough to withstand the strength of the beast and near impenetrable scales and spikes along the dragon's body. The Dragon overheard the war, and as it looked over the mountains hundreds of thousands of enemies swarmed the fields of Halhath. More and more enemies were also swarming into the fiery mountains. This dragon did not hesitate to wipe out all intruders and even made its way into the war and destroyed a portion of the enemy's ranks.
