Martin's Comments: Little pressed for much to say on setting this one up, feeling rather tired, but am happy with how it came out. Think kind of a good show of where multiple people are coming from in this, with Hazel and Dewayne immediately being ready to fight, Maggi's immediate instinct being to be more pragmatic, and Xmarlek deciding to paint himself as the reasonable authority figure who isn't holding grudges. Think it works well to kind of show how each of them chooses to approach this situation... and as we can see it seems like at least some of those present are more inclined to hear out Xmarlek's side of it.

A little thing but I think I particularly like Hazel and Luciana's clear, "Wait, WAIT!" look in the seventh panel, since that is probably a question they don't want Verbren asking given what the actual answer to it is. Especially seeing as Hazel already pointed out himself how exactly he could have set it up back when it first happened as a way to dismiss the improbability of it.

Adam's Comments: GOD, Xmarlek is actively reveling in what a bastard he is here. Just casually reveals "Yeah, I deliberately pitted Hazel and Mercy against each other for my amusement. Was gonna do it to Maggi too. What?" And yet beyond that he's still trying to say he's the good guy here.... I mean, we see at least a few people follow him in that last panel so it's apparently working.

I imagine it probably doesn't help that Hazel's been pretty unsubtle about being a madman since taking over the gang. He's kept the more extreme signs of his bloodlust out of public but he's been making decisions that just drive forward as much conflict as possible. Can see why people are thinking Xmarlek is the safer bet now.
