The beautiful city of Krakowia! (Poland 2019 trip) I spent 4 days here once my English and arts camp ended. It was a reward and celebration among the English staff. Actually I stayed for maybe a week! The whole city is this old look old cobblestone, and the center is surrounded by a massive garden that wraps around the heart of the city like a big green donut. Krakow, so beautiful, was untouched by even the Germans during WW2. Whereas most of Poland was destroyed (Warsaw was 60 to 80% bombed/ reduced to rubble. The old town gone and the palace gone etc) The Nazis, enchanted by this beautiful city made it their headquarters so it was the only one spared from the bombing occupations.

At every corner there were bread/ roll carts. There were more art shops and curios then I could imagine. I stuck to this center area and out into the parks. Once i went on the famous mainstreet but when you can choose to stay away from so many tourists, you always choose the quieter roads. i lived like a tourist for one night too. My co-teachers and I met up with friends of friends and had a fun night out hopping from restaurants to pubs, karaoke bars and clubs. Mind you, I had an early train to catch the next morning! What was fun about that was the sheer number of people you meet in a minute. How your group adds on and breaks off, it was lots of fun. (disclaimer, in those settings, always be with people you know and have a buddy to watch your back/ stick with you the whole time! Safety comes first )

oh! I think this was the biggest plaza/square in all of Europe!
