Description
I taught at a camp in Załęcze Wielkie, Poland. Beautiful, beautiful land. I've never felt and smelled air so sweet and wind so soft. These great forests, some of the biggest in all of Europe (mid to Eastern Europe has massively huge forests. Tales abound of people living somewhere deep within the trees haha) This particular area, like much of Poland, was bombed and burned to the ground. With the communist rule after WW2, massive projects restored lots of what had been destroyed. Citizens, by hand, replanted all of their forests, hence the straight lines all of the trees are planted in. Over the years some areas are logged and replanted in the same lines. But, a beautiful place. I was dumb and always wore sandals into the forests. The moss was crackly and full of pine needles. The thousands of pine cones scratched my feet but I would hike on until I found paths of sand to follow.
Poland was full of mysterious bird calls and never a bird did i see except for the ones that strayed into camp.

Yep, the entire forest was planted at the same time and in the same way so it looks the same way for endless miles--so pretty

If you had ever an occasion, you should also see so called ''Crooked forest'' near my home city, Szczecin.

The fact that good humans actually planted all these trees is beautiful itself. A hidden story beneath the soil.

It is! I was very heart warmed when I heard of this <3
Historically though, it was part of the massive projects the leaders during the communist rule in Poland after WW2 put on, making everyone rebuild, and replant everything that was destroyed. It was an interesting approach of maintaining the public.

Whether those trees were planted by humans or not, all of them sure add undeniable beauty to that park!
