Hi guys!This is #39 since it is the most recent comic on my Webtoons! I announced my hiatus with the same pieces between here on DA and on Webtoons.
For both pieces I picked a traditional Korean style outfits for my drawings because i was travelling to Seoul, South Korea to study U.S.-Korea affairs with my class in college. It was an INCREDIBLE experience! For as much as I hoped and love Korean culture whether that is history, politics, music or the dramas, all of my expectations were blown away. I was so happy!

I'm really happy you picked this theme, I really like how this one came out! Here we have lil' padawan, Ani Skywalker creeping Padme out. I picked the final scene in "The Phantom Menace" since that dress, while extravagant yet simple would be sort-of simple to make into a traditional royal hanbok.
Ani: 천사 (cheonsa= angel)
Padme: Why is he still with us? Creepy child!
I picked Ani's thoughts of "angel" because he asks Padme around the time when they first meet if she is an angel and how his mother says there are some angels in the universe.
Well, I am finally back on track!

Maybe using a child actress with proper age would've made Padme's character silly. I do remember that it was just a title, she was voted by the people to be the queen. But I might be wrong on that.

I agree I do like how it was done. It would have been a lot worse any other way! haha I think, yes, you are right about how she was picked to be the queen. I'm assuming it is a figurehead position more than having a lot of say such as the senators do as she becomes later on.

No, no, she was defiantly voted as queen, and was the youngest to hold the position.
(Yes, I am aware that kings and Queens are hereditary, not electorate, but there was an explanation in the 'Darth Plagueis' novel that has a line of sentences that explains this practice of politics)

Kinda wish there was a line like this in the movie, to be honest. Definitely would have been hilarious and made this stage of their relationship less unintentionally creepy.

Something like that! In the final scene that I drew, you can see kids/ girls Ani's age or a little bit younger standing behind him and I was like, whoah, there is your age group! haha

She was supposed to be 14 and he was supposed to be 9. ... I really wish they'd just made him 12 or something. That would've been like Aang and Katara from Avatar, much cuter and less creepy.
