We've all heard of rabid bronies-those who force MLP on other people, throw fits when people say they don't like it, fav mostly pony porn, get worked up if pony humanizations aren't white, etc.But there are also rabid anti-bronies as well; those who think all people who watch MLP are crazy, lonely, middle-aged perverted furries, moan about how ponies have 'taken over' the Internet, whine when their favorite characters are ponified, drawing ponies being horrendously killed, portraying the characters as sluts, bitches, psychopaths, etc.
Well, I say these people are no better than the people they oppose.
First, how many of these rabid anti-bronies have actually been attacked by a rabid brony? Or even seen one? I've been in this fandom for a while and I have yet to see one personally.
Second, how many of these rabid anti-bronies have actually watched the show? The number-one reason this fanbase is so large is because it's a good show. If it wasn't, would so many people be gushing about it?
Third, these rabid anti-bronies act like no other fandom has insane fans except for MLP. What about Pokemon? Sonic? Naruto? I dare you to find a fandom with no insane fans at all.
Fourth, rabid anti-bronies act like they've never seen a new fad before. If something's new and popular, of course it's going to be everywhere, including the Internet.
Fifth, why do rabid anti-bronies whine about characters being ponified? Characters are drawn in different styles all the time, what makes making them ponies such a crime?
Now, I'm not saying all people who don't like MLP are out to get bronies, nor am I denying the existence of rabid bronies. I am simply standing by the statement of Lauren Faust that the rabid bronies make up only a minority of the fanbase and the majority of it are good people who enjoy a show about friendship with a lovable and memorable cast. We are willing to love and tolerate if we are loved and tolerated as well.

There are 3 anti-bronies and about 50 rabid bronies in my school.
And they practically twist my neck because of my stage in PS(pegasister).

I'm not an Anti-Brony, but I have honestly considered joining their ranks. The only thing that stopped me was that they are just as hateful as all the regular Bronies I have encountered over the Internet.

I refuse to be called a "brony" or a "pegasister" because I hate being dubbed with fan-names...and personally it sounds stupid to me. I don't think anyone who calls themselves a brony is stupid of course, I just think the term ITSELF is.
But honestly both sides should just STFU. Bronies, MLP isn't that great and is very much overrated, plus we don't all need to hear about how Fluttershy's your waifu or how Twilight is so "sexy", which just sounds awkward.

I would say the rabid bronies are a majority online, but are outnumbered by the general public (kids and parents) IRL. Other than that, I agree.

I have no problem with dislikers or haters of MLP:FiM (in fact, I know people on dA who dislike this show but guess what? They're still my friends because we share some of the same interests, like videogames), as long as they don't become Rabid Haters who go like this: "If you're a Brony or you watch MLP:FiM, you're an autistic manchildren horsefucker", or this: "ALL Bronies are the cancer of the Internet and should be exterminated" or "All Bronies are pedophiles", and many other sayings which come from Rabid Haters of the show and the fandom on sites like YouTube.
And well, guess what you should do, Rabid Haters? Simple: TRY TO IGNORE ANY PONY-RELATED STUFF AND TO NOT BE ANGRY AT IT, AND ADMIT THAT THERE ARE GOOD APPLES ON EVERY FANDOM, EVEN THE MLP:FIM'S ONE. And Rabid Bronies: Not everybody's gonna love MLP:FiM, so stop trying to shove Ponies onto everyone's throat and begin to respect the opinions of everybody who dislikes the show, okay?

I don't mind drawing MLP, even though I don't do it, but all this talk about "MLP SUCKS!!!" and "NO, ITS THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!" makes me think "Oh no, not another one" because they're are lots of shows people still arguing about today and I rlly wish it wasn't like this, especially about MLP. I see fans and anti-MLP people bicker about it on Youtube and on musics that have NOTHING to do with it! When someone says "Thumbs up if this is better than MLP" or "Thumbs up if MLP and so so are the dislikes" or something, another person comes in to protest or agree then its all the fans others coming in with it. I even heard it in school last year and they argue about it. I am fine with seeing the MLP stuff, but fighting and whining about it is starting to push my buttons.

It's not that, I accept all kinds of stuff when it comes to opinions and fandoms on the internet.
My problem with bronies is the simple but annoying fact that they shove it in your face the minute you start talking to them. At least a pretty large group does. It's like if someone made a blinking sign with an arrow, which says "I AM BRONY! DEAL WITH IT!". When someone comments something brony related EVERYONE BRONY jumps on it and recomments with that brohoove (which is totally ridicoulus imo, but yeah, let them do what they want), or YAY ANOTHER BRONY!
It sounds pretty rude of me, and I don't mean it like that, but sometimes it feels like some kind of disease that runs through the internet population (I gave that show a shot, btw, didn't like it and just didn't care about it anymore), and I don't like it. It is a matter of personal preference, I know, if people like it, then like it. But you don't have to dress up like a pony, wearing fanshirts and that stuff, grab out a sign that says "BRONY!" and run around the most populated marketplace in your town and slamming the sign in everyones face, when they just look at you, because that's some sort of imagination of what bronies are likely to do on the internet.
Like I said, it's YOUR thing, and I DON'T want to know every fucking detail of your preferences. I for instance do 3D modelling and have a slight kink for furry art. Do I have to say it in every sentence I do? No, it's a thing that only concern me, and SHOULD only concern the one who it is related to. Keep it for yourselves, bronies, we "not-bronies" accept your stuff but don't want to get informed about your likings every now and then.

Well said. We should all think about the modest folk who wish to draw lines to their enjoyment. Obviously that isn't possible with everyone though the message can still be passed for those who understand it's meaning.

After all the bullshit comments on the "Meet the Pyro" video, I kind of lost faith in people because the stupidity that was going on. Apparently to anti-brony logic, anything involving the long-used sugar-bowl, happiness, or even a hippie style drug-trip is a reference to MLP. =/

Geez I have had problems with both sides, but I guess I have more problems with the Bonies mostly because everywhere I go MLP is there, they force the label brony on you even if your just a fan. Look I dont want to ever be refered to as a brony because of the large scale rabidness.

I fully agree with this. Most of the rabid anti-fans i have seen seem to behave much much worse than the actual rabid fans themselves. My old account got spammed by a hater simply because i visited their profile; I am yet to see a brony that spams another persons account just because they don't like the show.

My Little Pony fanbase doesn't seem any worse than other fan bases all of them have there darker sides....but probably the worst fandom out there is the classic spyro games fandom basically 98% of the fanbase is nostalgia whores that constantly complain how the new spyro games "killed their childhood" but that's a bit off topic
