Description Sometimes, these goddamned pony conspiracy theories really piss me off, and this one of those. "MRS. CAKE CHEATED ON HER HUSBAND!" "MOLESTIA IS CANON!" Now, I could go on for hours about how much I hate Molestia and how disrespectful and insulting she is to the real Celestia, but several other Celestia supporters have already done that and I want to stay on topic.

1. Pumpkin Cake has similar mane, hair, and eye colors of Mr. Cake
2. When babies are born, they do not look like clones of their parents, nor is their hair/eye color a mixture of their parents' hair/eye color.
3.Does Mrs. Cake really look like the type of person who would cheat on her husband?
4. Celestia would never rape any of her subjects, nor is it possible for two females to produce children through sex.
5. If Pound and Pumpkin were both Earth ponies, then they would not have given Pinkie half the trouble they had and therefore, a great majority of the episode's slapstick humor would've been lost.
6. Why are you all so quick to disregard genetics? Just because they live in a magical land doesn't mean that there are no scientific explanations for some things!

I firmly believe that Mr. and Mrs. Cake are a happily married couple with two beautiful children that are both theirs and nothing else. Please tell me there are others who think so too.

I personally feel as if they are adopted. The Cakes are too sweet to cheat on one another, and seem more likely to adopt children that need a loving home rather than fill the world with even more babies.

Mr.Cake's genetic argument is completely possible! People don't even think about what the grandparents may look like.

Y'know, it's true that Molestia isn't canon, and certainly will never become canon, and I'm not a fan. At all. However, there are two things you must remember.

number one: Celestia isn't perfect either.Β
Just like your "there's still science in MLP" argument (that I totally agree with) I have a "there's still sin in MLP" argument. And Celestia is no exception. Sure, she may seem like a Barbie doll, virtuous and innocent, and a righteous mare but... To be honest, her past is a bit sketchy.
Sure, the writers tryΒ to give her something to regret, therefore make her more relatable, but, in the end, the sacrifice of her sister's freedom for the country just makes her look more loyal and selfless. And that picture of Angelestia, combined with the depiction of all that oppose her in the worst possible light...Β To me, in my brain, that waves a red flag.
At first, pretty much everyone felt the same way (but more extremely). But now, that kind of opinion is "so three years ago" and frowned upon.
Yes, I've realized that she's not a demon either, but that doesn't mean I'm going to say she has no sin in her past. She is flesh and blood and bones and skin and soul. She's not perfect, no one is. To put it in the words of dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde's song Façade: Man is not one but two, he is evil and good. Celestia, don't play the Saint. I can see through you.

number two: let the Fanbase have its fun.
Seriously, you should see my gallery.Β
That's it.

^THIS. Perfect reason I don't wanna be called a brony.Β  I swear, some people try to think too deeply or too much and unintentionally (not for me) ruin things for others!!

I agree with people saying both have the unicorn/pegasi blood in them.

Who the hell thought of the idea of doing that? Rabid Molestia fanboys (based on the description)??

I wonder if Mr. Enter's "Baby Cakes" review started this (not bashing him though)...one person mentioned Celestia with 3 upvotes, and I reported that as spam whilst saying, it's a KIDS' SHOW, not THE SCARLET LETTER!!

Molestia can fucking die too. This is her best picture: shinywhitewaters.deviantart.co…

hm, i know its canon that Β pound and pumpkin are the children of the cakes, but what if mr cake was sterile and searched for a horse sperm donator so mrs cake Β could have kids , and hey could raise a family?Β

I had no idea this was even a thing until now, and I am laughing my ass off. If you look at the wiki, Mr. Cake states that both have Pegasi and Unicorn in their blood, and we've only seen a few of the ponies' relatives. Diamond Tiara and her father look NOTHING alike, and I'm assuming the hereditary traits don't just come from her mom.Β

HUZZAH!!! FINALLY someone who agrees!! for peat's sake people it really isn't that hard to comprehend two earth ponies having a pegasis and a unicorn. the fact that the twins were DIFFERENT SPECIES OF PONY FROM EACH OTHER screams that mr. and mrs. cake have unicorn and pegasis in their bloodline. if one was an earth and one was a pegasis/unicorn or both were unicorns or pegasi, THEN it would have been suspicious, but not by much.

I think that Mr. and Mrs. Cake are actually magically disguising themselves and they are both hiding their true forms. But you can't hide genetics. Maybe he's a unicorn and she's a pegasus. Maybe they disguised themselves to escape a duty or perhaps their folks didn't agree with their union? Would be a good story hook.

Fandom, for the most part, annoys me too unless there's a logical and genuinely funny joke to it. Berry Punch being alcoholic, for instance. With her heavy drinking at the party, it pretty much seems implicit. Heck, I actually find things like Molestia funny but ONLY in the "it's so stupid that it would never happen" kind of sense. The determination to prove that things like that are canon, however, is just dumb. It doesn't offend me, mind you, just annoys me.

I agree.I don't get why people believe that. They're married and love eachother. If they didn't then they would of divorced by now.And last time I checked,it was supposted to be a children's show,so WHY on earth would they add that kind of thing?I mean honestly. And the idea that they're cheating on eachother is also sick and they wouldn't put that in a kid's show.

And just cause they don't look EXACTLY like their parents, doesn't mean they aren't there's.In fact, they probably got some of their looks from other relatives and their species(Unicorn and Pegasus)from Mr. Cake's great grandfather and Mrs.Cake's aunt-cousin twice removed.(For instance,my eldest brother gets his red hair from one of our uncles even though both our parents have brown hair)

As for Molestia. It's just a sick thing people come up with. And the thing about Mr.Cake getting all nervous about explaining why their twins were two completely different species,I'm not sure.Maybe he was just tired from the labor and nervous that no one would believe him.:/

It is possible in real life for genetics from ancestors that lived very long ago to be passed on to present-day children... like if a white person had a black ancestor, it is possible for a completely faithful white couple to produce a tan-skinned child.
