Entry for ~EquineLineart s current contest.
I must say, I really enjoyed drawing this one ^^ I referenced from one of my friend Alysse's photo's since she has a lot of great ones and she gave me permission to ref from them 
And yes, it's a filly, not a colt. Deal with it 
Also aware that the saddle isn't exactly right...oh well.
As per usual, this can be used on deviantART only.
I'm changing one thing, you can remove the watermark IF YOU CREDIT ME ON THE IMAGE using this: LINEART BY WSTOPDECK.

umm well is she at a full run? if so when a horse is at a full run only one hoof is on the ground at a time. i'm sure u knew that sorry lol i love it

She isn't flat out galloping from what I could tell in the photo I used, but what you said is incorrect, there are three places when the horse may have two hooves on the ground at once, not to mention at least one moment of suspension. Examples:

i think it depends on the horse accually my mustang only has one hoof on the ground at a time when she is at full extended run and foxfire who has no real riding training or running experiance never opens up fully coarse he is still a young one also now my blind horse buddy opens up but he has to "smell" out cause he cant see very well and two hooves touch so idk

Look, the ONLY time I have ever seen a horse come anywhere near only having one foot on the ground at a time was a full out breezing racehorse. And there were STILL 2 times when there were two hooves on the ground, however brief they may have been. Sorry, but if it doesn't happen with a racehorse it won't happen with a mustang. In fact, the slower a horse gallops, the MORE likely it will have two and even three hooves on the ground at a time. I don't know who your instructor is(which makes no sense, you saying that you haven't had lessons), but they are wrong about something that should be rather common knowledge. My suggestion is to get a better instructor and geld your stud colt.
If you want advice or something, fine, but please, don't act like you know more than I do. I know that I don't know half of what there is to know about horses, but I am well-schooled. I actually just graduated from college with a degree in equine studies.

ur right i dont have an instructor for lessons in riding but i do have an instructor in driving a team of percherons and he has been around forever that is old timer knowledge and i never acted like i knew more then u i am sorry
