Right, so I've been a fan of the Firebringer Trilogy for ages now, and I have finally created my own fan character for it!
Name: Rille
Age: 6
Color: Flaxen Dark Liver Chestnut Sabino
Personality: Crazy. No, really. Most of the others think him insane. He spends a lot of time alone, talking to himself. He's rather harmless, but few get close enough to find this out.
So yeah, what I end up doing with him...well, we'll see ^^

oy!! I wish I knew where to go to get an idea of the types of colors, styles and patterns and their technical names. Like this sabino thing . . . I don't know if I've asked before but do you know if there's a place on the net or a book that talks about that? I need ideas on how to do markings and patterns on some characters and how to categorize them. I just don't deal with horses (though I'd like to) and its proving difficult.

There are a lot of places online, but I think one of the easiest is this one: 
Theirs is very accurate, though it doesn't have everything. Combination colors and patterns are possible, though the more dilutions and modifiers you add, the more likely you'll end up with a nearly white horse.

Hehe, nope, I believe it was a Peruvian Paso XD I changed the proportions a LOT I was going for more deer-like and leggy. ^^
