Mewtwo VS Arceus. Not much of a fight lol. Honestly, whatever Mewtwo says is the way I feel so yeah.I drew this directly on photoshop with my tablet instead of scanning and tracing. Saved a buttload of time. The art is, as always, sloppy.

Pokemon is just Dumb...I mean Arceus is the 'god' pokemon? By that logic, Mewtwo is definitely stronger than him. The gods' greatest flaw is their overconfidence in their infallibility. Now Mewtwo is a manifestation of Science - a creation of man; he is by very definition, an abomination. And since Science basically trumps Magic, Arceus can't even touch him.

Arceus is useless...unless you make him Psychic,Dragon or ghost type =B

Actually, Mewtwo could well win. After all, he is stronger (base 154 Sp.ATK compared to base 120) and faster (base 130 to base 120) than Arceus. And Arceus is ALLEGED to have created the Sinnoh Region. It's no god of all Pokemon for my money.

um... actually Arceus has the highest stat base total of any pokemon:

And the pokemon company definetly intended that Arceus created the pokemon universe. It was based on the single almighty God of many mono-theist religions, such as Christianity and Juddism. (Unlike other legendary pokemon, which tend to be based on deities from poly-theist religions.) And it also fills the role of the highest deity in Shinto mythology. (can't remember it's name, though.) Arceus's name even comes from the words "arch" (highest) and "deus" (God). Plus, Pokemon is one of those fantasy worlds in which very few of their "legends" are just myth. Arceus creating the universe is just as legit as Kyogre and Groudon creating the seas and lands, and Dialga and Palkia running time and space. (They are even shown to do this in the anime.)
Hey, you can see it anyway you want, I'm not arguing or anything, just sharing some info I find interesting.

I know that Arceus has the highest base stat total (please give me a little credit), but don't you think it's a little weird that many Pokemon actually surpass 'god' in several terms? I know that if I was a god, I'd be miffed if the spectral chandelier I made could launch a stronger attack than I could.
Also, while its name may be pretty meaningful, in Japan Christianity is used more as symbolism, as opposed to being more of a way of life in the Western world. I actually think that Groudon and Kyogre creating the land and sea is more a myth that spiralled out of proportion, like a lot of mythology. And after Arceus, it got to the point where I was certain that Generation 5's legendaries would have invented the wheel or something. And the anime also shows Pikachu defeating a Rhydon with ELECTRIC attacks, among other glaring flaws, so we all know how accurate this is.
And this is an argument in the truest sense, where two rational individuals put forth two opposing points of view for consideration. I may well disagree with Arceus being a god, but I certainly respect your point of view.

come Generation 6, and not only does Mewtwo get a Mega form that puts him leagues above Arceus, he gets two. not only that, but he also potentially gotΒ a mate in the anime (the secondΒ Mewtwo from the Genesect movie with a noticeably feminine voice.)Β
