No Walters were harmed in the making of this artwork. Bernhardt just named the skull Walter to annoy his flesh-and-blood second in command named Walter.

NOTE: Bernhardt is part of a historical fiction set during World War II. As a former History major I am very committed to accurate research. As someone who has devoted immense amounts of time to World War II, I am very against the notion of sweeping some of the more unpleasant bits of the war under the rug and pretending they didn't happen. The Nazi symbol on my works is not meant to incense others and is no indication of support on my part. I just refuse to alter history and refuse to knowingly disseminate factually inaccurate portrayals. Fascination does not equal support.
