Director called cut and, once again, Buck whipped out his iPhone and snapped a photo of the newest cast member, Neil.First, I love Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Not as much as Simon Pegg, but still. He's so smart, and actually pretty funny!
Second, Buck would TOTALLY make fun him. We all know it! Buck would draw a tiny mustache on his finger and be all, "Stars and stuff!"
After watching a couple of Tyson's videos, this is what popped into my head.
I honestly had a hard time picturing these two together. Using the ACTUAL promo photos from Blue Sky, they don't look like they belong in the same world. But here...? I'm actually able to see this happening. Hurry up movie! My patience only holds for so long.

I have doubts about his character too, and it doesn't help that Blue Sky hasn't released any information on Neil (which, honestly, good for them because it makes me want to see the movie even more now). But, come on! He's no match for Buck. XD I'm expecting to see like childish, Jack Sparrow vs Barbossa, "I'm-better-than-you" contest. Lol! That'd be hilarious if they really play up Buck's insanity! Just for one scene, where nothing makes sense and Buck wins with crazy logic. I'd be so happy.

Overall good point. Kinda don't understand why they have to make Neil a weasel too, but still I suppose he'll be worth giving a chance. Hope he'll be a good character, too.

I think I understand why he's a weasel, thanks to an episode of Good Mythical Morning on YouTube. Shameless promo.
Weasels and ferrets are SUPER smart. People used to use them (and still do, probably) as Space Electricians (pulling wires through pipes for the US Space Command) and Physicist Janitors (cleaning the inside of particle accelerators).
I love YouTube. lol! But yeah, SUPER smart! Now, if there is a connection between these two characters, that might be the main reason for their weasel decision. But for the moment, I'm telling myself Neil is ridiculously smart (much like his actor portrayal) and Blue Sky chose weasel as a result.

He is, but I'm pretty sure he'll have a couple scenes in the movie too. He better, otherwise there's no point in having a character design for him. Lol!
