Description Freshman studio project:

In this project we were given the task of finding a Richard Neutra house and through a series of diagrams find systems/irregularities from which we would make a "departure" from the house and using those systems make an entirely different structure. In the end we stopped at a point were the structure wasn't a house or a building with program. This model is a study of how systems of bars overlap and shift in relation with each other and how the irregularity, which was a curve along the far end of the house, would become the central organizing feature of this new structure as it becomes an envelope that weaves through the bars and encircles it.

This was made of balsa wood, and white chipboard type material. Can't remember EXACTLY what that white board it but pretty sure its chipboard. Then transparencies for the windows. The base is out of white foam board. If you want to know anything else about it.....would love to tell more

Can you send me a note of the exact material which every part is made of..?
Like the base of the model & the rounded outer shell..

Your not going to rebuild it are you >.>

Most the materials are all on the description in the comments that i gave you. the shell was the bitch part xD. so much glue and sooooo much scoring on the mat-board so i could bend it and not get bend marks on the other side.

The glue is the important part with models like these.....you can't use elmers thats for sure I've now been using something called "Zap a Gap" and then using "accelerators" to dry the glue.

If you want anymore advice just ask.
