Mew Mew Sutoroberi ~ Metamorphose!I felt like drawing Mew Ichigo, she will be part of a set of 7 which I will finish in the near future. These set of 7 will contain Mew Ichigo, Mint, Lettuce, Pudding, Zakuro, Berry and of course, Ringo. All images in the set will look similar to this.

I know it's Strawberry, but I purposely used the Japanese pronunciation for the word. It's presented in the manga a lot.

Well I'll be doing Mew Mint next, so Lettuce won't be too far off! I like to do things in order because I'm a weirdo. Lol.. But the 'ใใฅใฆ' Bit is Katakana which means 'Mew' and the 'ใใกใ' bit is in Hiragana which is 'Ichigo'
Yeah I learnt Japanese for two years at GCSE but I'm slowly starting to forget the basics >_> Meh, I'll re-learn it in Uni..

You're lucky to know some Japanese - I know zero. I'm currently learning Mandarin, but y'know, I'd like to learn Japanese too.

Ah you're correct with Katakana, which is used to write foreign words, and hiragana is the main Japanese script and then you get Kanji (chinese script) and of course Romanji (Japanese script put into romanized letters).
Apparently Katakana used to be the main Japanese script however the Japanese wanted something easier to read so then came Hiragana.. I think that's correct anyway..
Hiragana and Katakana both consist of 46 symbols laid out in the same ways, so you can see some similarities in both scripts.
