Description
Almost everyone who draws Bliss makes some sort of redesign of her, myself included of course. So, here she is, being drained of her original colors to become something that we as the viewers want. It's uh, a little dramatic.Bliss(tina) is from The Powerpuff Girls and belongs to Cartoon Network / Craig McCracken!

The only two complaints I have about her design is her body and hair color
I thinking giving her dark skin is fine I really like the idea of a dark skinned PowerPuff Girl but her anatomy and hair just makes her look mediocre

Honestly I think it's just the body and back story for me. When I saw her design, I thought her color palette was very interesting and different. Yes, I wish they used any color other than purple since that was Bunny's, but the cool colors looked really pretty and it was a neat choice to make her black. The hips just seem disproportionate to me. XD As for her back story, it's a little too self-important to me compared to the other girls, and messes up the timeline a bit. But her general personality is totally fine to me. She has a conscience, she really tries, and she loves her sisters. I think I'm pretty neutral to Bliss now-a-days, haha.Β

I was at one point going to consider redesigning her when I would get to drawing her, but now that I'm seeing this, it kind of feels like it would be hurting her as a character if I did. I know Bliss is fictional and all, but to be honest, her design has grown on me, despite how seemingly awful it is. And if I was to recolor her or drastically redesign her, it would kind of destroy the character and what effort was put into her, even if it wasn't a lot.Β
Plus her story can make sense and fit in the original PPG lore and timeline, with significant tweaking of course, and that's also what I plan to do as well one I get around to drawing my take of her. When I draw her, I'll keep her colors mostly the same with some maybe subtle tweaking, edit her story to be less comedic and make a bit more sense, and of course, I'll redraw and balance out her anatomy, that I'm willing to change. All hips and no breasts or balance of curves? That's got to go. And not trying to sexualize her, just have her anatomy be more realistic, as far as her cartoony form goes anyway.

You raise a good point. The fact that so many people, myself included, did a new design of her, speaks to how badly designed the character is. My redesign tried not to change much, but there's still things that need to be altered for it to work for me. Really says how dreadful her original design is, huh?
Still doesn't get it as bad as Bunny. XP

I have a project going on entitled, PPGsli. It acts as a continuation of the original 1998 series. It'll air in Adult Swim's anime block, Toonami.

It's fan-on. Not canon. OC means that a fan created the character and is not canon to the real thing.
Honestly, I have a lot of ideas for PPGsli I'd like to pitch out to Williams Street and Cartoon Network Studios.
But the real question is: Will Craig McCraken would be interested in doing this?
