I honestly think the box that works best with this scene is the second one, with the elements popping out. It really makes it feel dramatic, and like things are coming at you.

Very helpful! I'm not trying to be a critique, but the on the Sonic Forum (meaning this was answered by Ian Flynn) is was stated that Shadow doesn't like chili dogs. So the fact he was angry over that made me laugh! 😂

I have difficulty drawing interesting perspectives, often limiting the action in my artwork to a 2D plane (like the first sketch of Sonic and Shadow in this tutorial).

Perspective is definitely a tricky thing to master. I still haven't completely mastered it yet (*koff* backgrounds *koff*). <_<
