Catahoulas tend to have floppier ears and shorter fur, and built a bit more like a weimaraner, dalmatian, or even labrador than an aussie or a siberian -- ex. [link]

What a cool looking character. My dog Calypso is a Siberian Husky/ Australian Shepherd mix but she doesn't have the brown markings of the Aus. Shepherd. Anyway, I like Zephyr. Good job!

I just saw her in your gallery..she's beautiful, but I must admit, both she and the one 'Jessie' in your favorites looks /far/ more like an Australian Koolie [ [link] || [link] || [link] ] than a mix between either a husky or an aussie. Still a gorgeous dog, though. n_n I love blue merle coloration on just about any dog. <3

XD I came up with the idea ages ago because I love Merle coloring on dogs, but it's really ironic because a few weeks ago, it turns out at my newest puppy's obedience training class, someone has an Australian Shepherd, and my pup is a Husky (mix), so it's all interesting. I was like, "Wow, if these two were mixed, they'd probably look like Zephyr". ..Then Buddy, the little Aussie Shep's owner was all "wtf who's zeffer lolz" and...yeah. >>;

I don't think it would work well, since they're both male, butyeah. XD Who knows, with my Nova. >>; He's sort of..odd. xD I'd love to see a Blue Merle Husky in real life, though. I've never even seen pictures of the mixed breeds, same with my main favorite, a Husky/Dalmatian. :3
I love the term 'Merle' as well, but the fact that it was this weird tongue-less parasite guy on one of my favorite shows sort of ruined it for me a little. .~.
