Name: Reef
Species: Arrowhead

Once a savage beast, Reef would prowl the tropical seas of Arath’an and attack any unlucky ship that he encountered, dooming them to the deep.

One day, while the princess of Arath’an and her guardian sorceress were on a ship headed across the sea, Reef attacked. The sorceress could plainly see the intelligence behind the Arrowhead’s crazed eyes, and instead of destroying the ancient creature, she cast a spell on it.

Reef still has the marks left behind from her spell. They reside on his pinion feathers, forever engraved into him. The mark of the royal seal was also branded into his feathers and scales.,

He is now a personal guard to the princess and ensures the safety of ships at sea, for he can travel great distances with his powerful wings.
