That's what I say now sometimes, when I look in the mirror.There he is.
Strip away every aspect of yourself that makes you uncomfortable, and it's amazing what you find underneath.
This picture was taken when my transition from female to male was finally complete. On testosterone for 2+ years, chest reconstructed, female reproductive organs removed, and feeling more comfortable in my own skin than I ever have in my life.

So very happy for you. Your chest looks great and I must say, you have gorgeous hair. I can't wait until I also get my chest reconstructed. My next appointment at the gender clinic will determine weather I can go on the waiting list or not.

I'm glad the surgery went well (I know it wasn't too recent but still happy for you). I was wondering what sort of things go on in therapy... I'm studying to be a therapist and think it'd be good to hear how to best help people from others who have experienced it.

My chest looks fucking amazing compared to before. I had E-cup breasts. I'm now flat, with just a bit of definition.. the surgeon left in just a bit of fat, because I'm overweight, and if he had made me COMPLETELY flat, and I lost a bunch of weight, I would be concave, which would look even worse, and that is NOT fixable. This is.

Hm. No, that's a lie; that was really transphobic. I certainly didn't mean for it to be, though. I was just confused; you said you were post-op and you still have breast tissue left. Now that you've explained, though, I understand. And, like I said, that does makes sense.
Granted, it wasn't the best way to express my confusion, and I can certainly see why you were hurt...I have trouble with stuff like this a lot...
Anyway, I do apologize and I really hope we can put this behind us...

I didn't actually say that I have breast tissue left.
Also, I don't. It's a tiny bit of fat. My surgeon removed ALL breast tissue. He left the extra fat and a tiny bit of skin in there, because if he made me completely flat at the time of the surgery, I would have ended up concave if I had lost weight.
So what he's going to do is give me a revision once I've lost weight. So I don't end up concave.. because I'll have no more weight to lose. I can gain weight back if I want, after that.. but he can't make me flatter before I lose the weight.. because I'll end up concave.
He knows what he's doing.
But again, there is no breast tissue in there.
I was really hurt, yes. I've had a lot of people leave me really nasty comments on other sites, and you just added to that. It was also more upsetting that you were FTM and saying that to me. It just came off as downright ignorant.
You hadn't actually apologized *to me* before your last comment (the one before this one).. but now you have. Thank you.
I'm still pretty upset over this though.. so give me some time before you attempt to be my friend.

And you know what? Yeah, that makes sense. From a surgeon's standpoint, it makes sense. And I certainly wish you luck losing the weight you need to make you completely flat. I'm jealous; I'm never gonna get enough money for even liposuction for my breasts, and I'm a g cup myself, so you're really lucky to be as flat as you are.
The only reason I even said that is I thought you were pressed up against...like, a window or something. I was kind of confused, but then I went back and read the comments again.
