Description
An experimentation with rain and light involving one of my Muses and most beloved character, Raineater. There's numerous things that I don't like, but then I remind myself I was practicing new techniques and I'm pleased to have learned some new things.How fitting! I'm uploading this and it just started thundering outside. And here comes the sound of rain upon the house...

comfortable (as in, not uneasy) proportions, which makes the eyes happy

I don't think it is standing against the dark or the storm. I believe that it has come to terms with the storm and accepts the darkness into it. I also have to comment that the picture is very stunning. Excellent job.

Close. Raineater's greatest love is, of course, storms. While storms and darkness are commonly used as symbols of turmoil or fear, in this piece it is something to be celebrated. It isn't a matter of acception, but rather appreciation. Raineater embraces the beauty of night and welcomes the coming of rain. He's my happy little gryphon.

I could make a Snow-something but it wouldn't be Snoweater, since the second part of the name is already in use by Raineater. See, I have many of these gryphons.

No, it's not that. The species I developed has naming rules I set that I must follow. It consists of only two words combined, like Raineater, Sunsnatcher, Mindbender, etc.
