Yay kisses!Most Regali bond with a compatible human counterpart of their choice, and the bond allows telepathic communication between the two. Tora is mute and thus incapable of verbal communication, so a Regali chose her to offer her a "voice."

I recommend you tu read "The 12 kingdoms" of Fuyumi Ono, it's a fantastic book very famous in Japan. On this history, there is a creature who look like at the Regali.
