Description
Art commission for Karasu, of the Pernese bronze dragon Golanth. ^^Though I know more development would certainly help, critique is very welcome on the clouds.

The clouds are fine--it's the dragon that commands the attention! so less detail in the background works nicely here.

It looks really nice! The layout is great. Maybe the clouds seem to be composed of strip like sections. They look good, but it may help to have less masses of color in a strip like shape. A wider shape may help. Referances of real clouds always help Very nice piece!

Less masses of color? Not following you there. I intended on making the clouds look more like layered strips rather than random, large poofy masses.

Yeah, sorry, kinda a hard thing to describle. I meant the strips that in my opinion, the strips that are about the same shade I guess should be less strip like. Maybe have some places where it jets into the other shades etc. Idk... best advice I can give is to look for photos of clouds you like the shape of. I think you did a nice job on the clouds though
