Not bad, sir! Now I dare you to make the arm weapon look more distinctive. (We all love the EW-version Gundam HeavyArms, but that double gatling design has been way overused.) Other than that, this thing is clearly a Mobile Suit, but is not a ripoff of anything. I love original mecha!

Thanks, im glad you like it! Haha! you are right that is more or less exactly where i got the gatling gun desing from lol Ive been lazy when it comes to weapon designs but i plan on putting out some higher quality mecha work soon so i will definitly remember to redo this with a more orginal gatling. ^_^

Excellent work! The design is much more realistic than the majority of mecha designs, something that I always appreciate, yet rarely find, in mecha design.

thanks! im glad you like it. I try to keep a fair balance between realistic and fantasy/anime design when i do mecha that are made for mass production so that they wont look too out of place in a universe with more fantastic type designs. For me i imagine that it also depends on the level of technological advancement of the people it was created by,so i try to have that reflected in the design as well.

Yeah I know what you mean. I'm just not a big fan of the Escaflowne-style mecha with things like bird wings and capes and things like that. For my own mecha they look a lot like Armored Cores but as I wanted to be more realistic they started to be sized more like Wanzers; they went from being 15 meters tall to 5.5! Although I'm pretty disappointed that AC design went the Escaflowne path...

Hmm... the design reminds me of a Knightmare frame from Code Geass. I think it's the head shape, as it reminds me of the Gekka model used by the Four Holy Swords.

I believe armored core was the inspiration behind the head if i remeber correctly, i did not realize there where mecha in Code Geass for the longest time lol Its still on my to watch list but the overall main influence on the design of this was a playstation game series called Front Mission.

Hmm... looking at it again, I can see the Wanzer influence in the design now that you mention it. God, now I want to go play Front Mission 4 again.

One can never go wrong with a large double-cylinder machine gun.
It's a nice piece of work, could use a background though.

Gimp is not very user-friendly to beginners, have you thought of using masking layers to add scratches to it? It's a neat technique, although I think I went overboard with it on my first Gimp coloring.

Take Care-
