I'm still developing onto his story since he's a fairly new oc. I'm more of a visual artist, so I might do a couple of small comic strips or pictures that explain things.

Thank you, I'm trying to get my lazy butt to do more pieces like this, including paintings and such. I used to do speedpaints but no one really cared, so I ended up stopping them

They're certainly worth the time, but I get what you mean XD
Awwww I'd love to see a few, or even a couple of tutorials if you'd ever do them. I have trouble with dynamic poses, movement and background so it'd be super helpful to see how you work with them. That and I'm always looking for new techniques, especially little tricks in whatever program the artist happens to use (Plus speedpaints are pretty inspiring XD )

I had the same problems. How I overcame it was that I would keep drawing the things I was most weakest at even if it didn't look right. I did this until I finally started getting better. xD

That's what I'm starting to do, to add more backgrounds and try more dynamic poses, I'm slowly getting there but I'm sure I will eventually. I'm mostly interested in the use of tools and techniques in certain programs since I'm an amateur in photoshop and have no idea how the people get the effects they do (despite all the tutorials I've watched). I'm better in SAI but I've learned things that I wish I knew when I started outΒ

I'm intermediate when it comes to photoshop, but I had to learn everything on my own.
But most of my art is done in SAI too. Photoshop I usually only paint in, or add touch ups to my drawings after I'm done. But it's not that hard finding the effects in PS once you've messed around with the program a bit. But since I'm a dummy who learns by needing to be explained in simple terms with pictures. I think I could try to help simplify it in any future speedpaints.

Ah that's cool, I've learned most of SAI in the years I've been using it but I find the helpful tidbit here and there!
Absolutely, I've gone messing around a couple of times so I've certainly got some sort of grasp on the program but it never seems to translate to any proper drawing.... Hahaha I tend to learn best by watching other people use the technique XD

I used to also be very bad at backgrounds. So I would draw characters floating in space all the time. Until one day I decided to force myself to draw backgrounds. I just kept drawing them until I got better, even if I didn't like drawing them I still thought of the end results.Β
