She is able to forgive people for the most treacherous acts including people like Crome who is responsible for the death of her family. Rayne likes being around people and is extremely fond of new technology and inventions.

Past: Rayne was born mute and is of a alien species from another galaxy known as Dromik. Only form of communication she has, is a small tablet she writes on. Her mother died when she was born, and she was cared for by her father. When she was 4 years old, her planet was invaded by creatures known as Zerimites, her father placed her into a escape pod and blasted her off with her never knowing what became of him. She landed on a abandoned planet filled with junk and was found and taken care of by a hermit who happened to run a ship repair shop. She spent her entire life building machines, using scrap metal and assisting her new caretaker. When she reached age 16, she then took her leave, to explore the galaxy and to find out what had happened to her parents.

Around age 20 she was captured by zerimites and forced to flee with a deformed former high ranking zerimite scientist known as Crome. She developed some form of stockholm syndrome from being stuck to Crome via a explosive collar and after a while began protecting him. Only for him to soon become friends with her despite his tendencies to once and a while try to stab her or dissect her onto a operating table.

During the time Crome began becoming interested in interdimensional possibilities. His tampering and success in creating a dimensional gate went wrong when another scientist, a lombax left behind and now working for a evil markazian known as Zaras Fowl opened a portal at the same time, in exchange to be hidden from Emperor Percival Tachyon until he found a way back home. This caused both occupants on each end to swap places, part of the lombax scientist hair particles got caught in the swap. Altering both Rayne's and Crome's DNA. Zaras being angered that his lombax scientist who had been making his underground army of robots, and unlocking the secrets of interdimensional travel had disappeared. He screeched in rage only to find that another portal had opened due to the readings on the monitors. He sent out his robots to capture and bring back what might had came out of the portal. Kidnapping terrachnoids in the process to help build and continue his expansion from where his scientist left off. Rayne and crome are later found. Rayne is captured, while pushing Crome into a escape pod as she was dispatched and soon placed into cryogenic sleep as Zaras Fowl continues his search for Crome.
