Description
The Caecusa is a highly aggressive and territorial ambush predator that lives in swampy cave waters, their skin texturing helps them mimic the swaying water plants. Unlike the water plants that take in chemicals from the air and water to make energy, the Caecusa will eat just about anything that moves and will chase you onto land if you make the mistake of disrupting the water. Their pale skin and large mouth can be unnerving to most things that see one, and if you were to see one it might be best to stay out of the water, since it cannot see you. Interestingly, Caecusae has evolved to fuse it's lower mandibles into one jaw which otherwise is only seen in Auri's ancient fish. The Caecusa hunts by sound and vibration by aid of sensitive barbs that can detect the slightest change in movement. Caecusa are exceptionally rare so if you are lucky you will never have to encounter one.
