Description
Styracovenator is the largest known member of the valenator family, and it earns this title by quite a decent margin. Styracovenator is rarely ever seen, and one of these reasons are because it is so hard to see in the dark due to it's pitch black inky skin that covers it's entire body, and many large spines that break up it's silhouette. The most you might be able to see at any given time are it's bioluminescent marks under it's eyes and near parts of it's hips, shoulders, and tail. Even then, those marks are quite dim and only flash when angry or nearby other bioluminescent plant life. Styracovenator is an ambush predator, and chooses to rest in among plants and crevasses along cave walls to wait for prey, sometimes it does not move for days. It can change it's behavior and is completely capable of chasing down prey if needed. It can also climb quite well thanks to grooves under it's feet and huge claws. Though it's most unique feature by far is it's tongue, when whipped out of it's mouth at a high rate of speed a very bright flash bang like bioluminescent reaction occurs just beneath the skin which is capable of temporarily blinding prey in the dark caves where bright light is not expected, giving this predator an easy snack and is the sole reason why it is an ambush predator.
