Description
A step-by-step of the process I follow when I draw my Yaut'ja (aka. Predator) face and heads. My style is cartoony and my Yaut'ja end up looking not very intimidating or realistic, but if the steps, helplines, and process is in anyway helpful, you are welcome.

Question: what would you suggest for drawing a shy yaujta face?

XenoPredDragon In reply to FandomWarrior15 [2018-03-15 06:17:03 +0000 UTC]
Avoiding eye contact, the mandibles being constricted tightly to the face/cheeks, head low or hunched between the shoulders, those are just some suggestions.
I have even portrayed "shyness" before with my own Yaut'ja oc, Suni like this if that is to any help.

Oh thanks, hopefully it helped you get along with some of the placements, but I am certain you'll notch it up with some awesome realism to it.

I just realized I haven't commented on the last artworks yet that you uploaded here, so I'm gonna catch up on that.
I really like your tutorial, it's so much better than mine. I usually take the basic shape of a human head and face as base for my Yautja faces, so seeing that you don't do this was actually a surprise because from what I know, that's what most artists do. But it's very interesting how you do it. I don't think it'd work for me though.
I can't draw Yautja faces without a human shape underneath.

And I haven't uploaded anything in over a month now. But thanks for stopping by!
Yes, that may be for artists who actually can draw human faces, I cannot. But ever body has their own way about things.

This is so usefull. I used it to draw about half of Sangu's family, even his dad. I just used it now to draw another predator that has no connection to Sangu, but is another OC.
