Yup , last weekend i saw the new ´IT´ with two friends and it was AWESOME!! i really liked this new version , even tho i thought it wasnt really scary , it was intense and cool at moments but not scary . Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise was also more funny than frightening but like i said i liked it . If you like the Tim Curry version and the book you probally like this one as well .Btw : Dont forget to Float

At first I didn't think that drawing looked like any kind of spider. But the more I think about, it looks like a huge version of one of those damn camel spiders, one of the more unsettling spider types. m.youtube.com/watch?v=ommiDuKb…
I think IT's mouth parts/mandibles should rub together like that camel spider's. Real skin crawling seeing that spider do that.

Yeah that, too. Come to think of it, Pennywise is basically a costume/suit for IT to wear as a disguise like how the Bug in MIB used the skin of that dead farmer to wear.

I've heard they're linked or related since they're part of the Dark Tower Mythos and may have come from similar dimensions where they all dwell.

He is. Those monsters may have came from the same dimension as him. Stephen King developed this Multiverse with monster filled dimensions that span into other novels and stories but lead to the Dark Tower series.

I'm also hoping that we get to see IT's arch nemesis: Maturin the Turtle in the sequel. Seeing a Cosmic Turtle in the sequel would be cool and it was hinted in the movie with that Lego Turtle Bill found in Georgie's room.

Well the Turtle just provides the clue to defeating IT while Bill is in a trance or something, which is the Ritual of Chud. The Turtle doesn't really take any direct action against IT and is just a spectator. Maybe the Turtle be seen like a really psychedelic hallucination.

In a way I hope that's what the director decides to do. Maybe some reference to it's original final form, but something else entirely monstrous. Though I wonder if the film will include the deadlights. So pysched for the next part!
