In addition to [link] , this particular variant is fitted with rockets to fill the role of long-range support. Stronger leg-actuators allow it to support the weight, the chin-mounted auto-cannon turret is largely redundant, though. Wasn't quite thinking when I put that there.After reading an essay on combat walkers (and how they aren't suitable for "combat") many good points were brought up on size and power requirements. Close-combat is out of the question, as legs and height pose great weaknesses. Support role, on the other hand, may actually come close to being plausible.

It`s nice that the design is grounded in the real world. It makes it more believable. I like the MRLS launchers, the radar/optics on top, the chopper-like canopy, the hydraulics on the legs.
The launcher closer to the viewer looks a bit like it`s floating and the other launcher is a bit off, perspective-wise, but I think the overall design is ok and can be 3d modeled to be used in a game.

I intentionally made the closer launcher float in the air to show the weapon pylon; kinda demonstrate the platform's versatility.

Actually, it's not Battletech. I just liked the idea and made my own "real-world" variant.

For some reason, the aesthetic style of the missile pods remind me of that photo with the navy crewmen loaded up in missile pods, a la the Predator Angrinator.
Too bad there isn't room for any active anti-missile defences, like the Israeli Iron Fist.
