first attempt at making a mask with air drying clay

Mask after painting. first layer of white paint, and then after that a wash of black paint wiped off with tissue. Finally a brushing over of gold paint with a dry brush.

used acrylic paint. total time.. ehh well i dunno its hard to say. haahha a couple of days cos i had to wait for it to dry and also spent a good part of the day doing finishing work - making it feel smooth etc.

its a very simplified mask - wanted to do more but i think i really like it as it is now, with the textures and paints. probably better for ornamental use than to be worn. though it can be worn very comfortably.
