And there was no mention of consentual with the unbethrothed woman. Notice how 25 SPECIFICALLY says bethrothed. It doesnt say woman it says bethrothed woman. Do you even know what the term bethrothed means?

Read what I said. I said to you that the verses that you accuse of being rape (which both translations do not say), is the act of fornication. In today's standards, this is consensual sex. During those times, if a man and woman are found having sex and were not married, the man would have to marry her because sex is suppose to be for married folks. Sex really is for married folks though, but fornication has become so common these days.
Verse 25 is talking about the rape scenario.
25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
So, you can clearly see that the scriptures are NOT TELLING WOMEN TO MARRY THEIR RAPISTS, and last of all...these are the laws of the old covenant. So enough with believing the common lies about the Bible.

The bible says that unbetrothed woman must marry rapists. Your passages only cover the betrothed. Your IGNORING that one word. And YES it makes a huge difference when I said the bible says a woman who is NOT engaged and unmarried woman must marry her rapist. Here I'll even highlight it for you.

Look carefully at 25 and noticed the term betrothed. Betrothed and engaged are THE SAME EXACT THING! It is talking about a rape scenario with a BETROTHED woman. Now then find the passage refering to rape with an woman who isn't promised to get married. Prove me wrong find a passage that doesn't refer to a married woman giving different instructions. I don't believe bible lies. But unlike you i'm not ignorant enough to move aside one word to give the desired definition. That passage doesn't prove you right for it specifically targets betrothed woman.

strawman? Yes this refers to rape but it merely tells people that it wasn't the victim's fault. The bible is against victim blaming. I never said the bible was promoting victim blaming. This passage is off topic and thus invalid. It doesn't give instructions to the victim upon what she should do.
Also 28 (the one about a man seizing an unmarried virgin and lying with her, though didn't specifically specify rape sort of implies it. To seize is a forceful term.
It isn't a case of victim blaming actually. Its more of a case of nobody wanted to marry a violated woman whether or not it was consensual. An an unmarried woman didn't have the same right today it was difficult for them to do anything. On top of that woman were seen as property. And don't say this isn't true. The whole 50 silver sickles was just a fancy way of buying damaged goods. It was a case of "you break it you buy it." Keep in mind back then woman NEEDED husbands for a woman was forbidden to own property or do alot of stuff other men would be permitted to do. And woman were seen as the weaker sex so a man of the house meant protection.

Um I am gay. I think its sickening when I see people with blind hatred for people just due to the one they love or how they look/dress. I know I cant change the way people think but it hurts me to see hatred. Also we support it's because we're living breathing people with a little beating heart and emotions such as yourself and we have a right to be on the earth. The hatred is so much that some people resort to suicide and even get kicked out of their own house, almost as I did. This is why we need support.
