I actually started the painting of Fenix right before Legacy of the Void's first trailer came out, and right before Artanis was announced as a zealot hero for Heroes of the Storm, so I abandoned it. I was trying to make his armor match the style of Heroes' design for Tassadar. Not sure if I'll finish him, if Fenix appears it should probably be as a dragoon. Though I don't think Artanis completely fulfills the Zealot playstyle, he's more slidey and less brute force-y. Artanis slices, slides and pirouettes away from damage with his 'blade dash,' my Zealot hero would just be getting in there and punching.My rationale for not giving him the normal Zealot shoulder bands and armor is because Tassadar's master Skin already has them. But again, I did this before the LotV Zealot design was shown, that shoulder armor would work fine.
I also wanted to pay special attention to making his face / minimap icon easily distinguishable from Tassadar and Artanis, which I think the tiara, reddish facial markings and yellow eyes will do. I know Blizzard likes to give their Protoss blue eyes these days, but he would need to be the exception.
But, I don't know if I'll finish his picture. The legs I had for him weren't great, if I do I'll go back in with something closer to the new LotV design.
As for Vashj, I just started her today. Definitely going to see her through!

Nice designs! I like all the thought you put into Fenix's design
In regards to eye colour, while yes blue eyes are more common in SC2 there is still at least one example of non blue eyes on a Khalai (Aiur) Protoss in the form of Karass in the Zeratul mini campaign who has orange/amber eyes so giving Fenix different eyes works fine
I also hope Fenix appears some day. They said one reason he was pushed back, other than having Artanis due to LotV's then imminent release was that they wanted him to have a death mechanic and they had just recently added Leoric and another hero with a death mechanic. If they do end up going with a solely Dragoon version of Fenix (Immortal for his Master skin?) I do wonder if they might give Artanis a Zealot Fenix skin ^^

It really pays good tribute to the greatest Protoss hero of all time. He deserves a comeback as the real Zealot he is, and I think you managed to paint all his fierce fury on your design.
As an all time fan of Fenix, I want to see this finished, and I want to fight alongside him again in the game!

Ohhh Fenix came out just wonderfull! i can actually picture him in the mini map and home screen of heroes with your desing, i love it i would completly love to see it full if you do some day, i think you manage to get the old style and the wonderful markings that make Fenix, Fenix! hehe!

We have 2 Marines, and probablly when they will make Warfield he will be too a marine, so I don't see the problem

True! I'd definitely be down for some sort of mechanic where his ult makes him upgrade into a dragoon for 30 seconds or something when he dies, get the zealot and the dragoon in there.
